Herne Hill genuinely embodies the often over used phrase 'up and coming'. This elegant part of South East London is nestled between its big sister Dulwich Village to the South and vibrant Brixton to the North. Its strong sense of community and independence, coupled with exceptional schools (both state and independent) and its exclusion from the tube network mean that it has avoided the onrush of high street chains found in most gentrified districts.
